It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see. ~~Henry David Thoreau
I love, love, love this statement!
There are too many of us that look and don’t see. For example, when I go somewhere following my GPS, I look for the streets that I’m told to look for and nothing else. So, I don’t enjoy the journey and couldn’t tell you anything about what I should’ve seen along the way.
How many times are you going through the motions and not seeing what you’re looking at along the way? How many times have you left work and found yourself at home and don’t remember the ride?
Whew! I use to do it all the time. But, after a few losses in my life, I value the journey and really see what I’m looking at. Time moves fast enough. Don’t waste it focused on the destination. Enjoy the ride! 🙂
