Are you in love? Have you ever been? Think about what it feels like to be in love….hmmmm
You can’t get enough of their presence; your heart skips a beat when you think of them; if you’re apart, you can’t wait until you’re reconnected; everything you do is in consideration of them; your world revolves around them; you only have eyes for them.
Does any of that sound familiar?
Well, when I look at this verse, I think about my love for the Father. Not just my love, but how in love I am with Him. Yes, sometimes when we’re communing, I may not like some of the things He shows me about me, but because I trust Him and know that He’d never do anything to harm me, I can comply to change after a loving rebuke.
The thing is….if we say that believe that God has our best interest at heart, then we need to make Him our retreat and lean in every time He speaks.
