Keeping It Together

IMG_7227

In times like these, we’ve had to develop some new “norms” in order to keep it together. We can’t think the way we use to, we can’t act the way we use to, we’ve even had to make adjustments to our relationships because of what’s going on.

This also challenges you in a way that you have to do some soul-searching. You don’t have to work hard at that these days. Some things are surfacing and are right in your face. You now have time to think (you’re not as busy or busy at all). You now notice things you’ve not noticed before (not just about you, but those around you or now at a distance).

Things are actually clearer than they’ve been a while.

Take this time to sit quietly and notice your thoughts and feelings. If you don’t journal, start. If you do, dedicate a separate journal for this.

  • Write down your thoughts/feelings with no judgment. Let it sit for 24 hours before reading again.
  • Meditate on good things for a set period of time (I use 30 minutes, but I started out not being able to do but 7 minutes at a time before my mind began to wander). Again, no judgment; start where you can.
  • Write down the good things that stand out during your time of meditation.

During this time, I want to give you some tools to coming out of this thinking clearer and more purposefully.
