One of the accounts in the Bible always intrigued me….
One brother cooked stew and when the other returned from the field, he asked for a bowl of the stew. Knowing how hungry the brother was, the brother who made the stew decided to take advantage of his brother by bargaining with him. Because the brother was so famished, he bartered with his future (his birthright/inheritance). His vision was only as big as his current situation: hungry with stew in front of him.
We tend to be like the brother who gave up his birthright. We get uncomfortable in our current situation and allow that discomfort to dictate our decisions.
I know that waiting on the right timing is not popular. We live in a time of instant gratification. We want to live a life free from discomfort and delayed gratification. So, what do we need to do?

Understand we all have purpose. We were created on purpose, with purpose by Purpose. Don’t let anything or anybody (including self) keep you from what is rightfully yours. If it’s going to take hard work, do the work. If it’s going to take up a lot of time, invest the time. But,…⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
