FLOWing…..God’s Handwriting

Stop what you’re doing and take a look out the window, look around you if you have the privilege of working outdoors, or go out on the porch/patio/balcony and just sit. Quiet your thoughts…the only sound you should hear is the sound of your surroundings. Then, take a look.

Do you see magnificent trees, birds flying/chirping, is the wind blowing on your face, are the flowers in bloom,…? If you’re like me and you’re surrounded by buildings and concrete during the day, take a look at even those things and remember….God gave someone the idea of how to build and over the years, God has even perfected that method. God gave someone the idea of the automobile and then it was created and continues to be perfected. There is nothing that was created or every will be created that wasn’t first a seed (thought/idea) planted by the Creator. His handwriting is on EVERYTHING!

Recently, I had a conversation with a Christian couple. The wife was saying that she appreciated a testimony I shared and the encounter I had with the Creator. She was saying that she doesn’t believe that Christians are really connecting with the Creator with an understanding of how “big” He is, and that in our finite mindsets, we’re not open to explore. So, I asked a question that is the root of my pursuit of God….”If I could understand Him or figure Him out, why would I serve Him?”

The problem is, some think they’ve figured things out in their lives. But, the Infinite has a way of making His sovereignty known (Genesis 11:3-9; Proverbs 16:7, 20:24).

Here’s the thing…..

When I look around me, I know I’m looking at a world created by spoken Word. Then, I look inward and have to say to myself, if I’ve been created/fashioned in the image of the Creator, with the same properties/characteristics, then I must be here to create something beautiful….because God took out His supernatural pen and wrote out my story before the foundation of the earth.
