It’s time to take some inventory. Let’s not wait until the new year; let’s do it NOW! Let’s take inventory of our relationships, finances, job/career (businesses, if applicable), and mindset.
Relationships – Are you in the right space with the right people doing the right things?
Make sure you’re around people who either encourage you to pursue your dreams, have similar dreams, or have been where you want to go.
Finances – What is your financial net worth goal for the year, 5 years, 10 years?
Make a plan, write it down, and commit to that plan. A lot of times, we make the plan and write it down, but we don’t commit. Let’s stop doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Let’s make the commitment to see our plans through…we’re worth it.
Job/Career/Business – Do you have a plan in place for advancement?
This is one of the things I recently (within the last few years) had to look at and confess that I had been loyal to my place of employment to a fault. What I mean by this…I was loyal with no regard to my advancement. I actually blocked myself in a corner with no possibility for advancement. The problem with this…I didn’t realize it until it was too much time invested to leave benefits and money on the table. That meant, my business plans had to move at a slower pace than what I wished because 40+ hours a week belong to my employer. Always have short term plans that you look at often, work hard for your employer (if this is applicable), and stay loyal to yourself (work just as hard if not harder for yourself).
Mindset – What do you believe about yourself and success?
This one is key to having any of the others listed above. We must believe that it is all possible for US…not just others. If you don’t have one, introduce yourself to success and begin an intimate relationship with him. It’ll change the trajectory of your life.
